Do you dream of owning your own home under the Spanish sun, want to work in Spain or start a business there? Then you know that the NIE number (N\u00famero de Identidad de Extranjero<\/em>) is the first indispensable step. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An NIE number is a tax identification number for non-residents in Spain. You can compare this number to a national registry number( Belgium) or citizen service number (Netherlands) and you will need it in your day-to-day life in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But where previously you could still go to the Spanish consulate, the working method there changed dramatically.<\/a> Since the consulate has all but stopped direct applications for non-residents, many Belgians and Dutch face a bureaucratic challenge. This is why Confianz is launching a fully unburdened digital NIE service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Digital Signature:<\/strong> You sign the notarised power of attorney completely digitally. This is legally valid and saves you a physical visit to the notary. The power of attorney is drawn up in three languages (Dutch, Spanish and English).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Application & Delivery:<\/strong> Once the power of attorney is received, our experts will submit the application to the Spanish authorities. After approval, you will receive the official NIE document directly in your mailbox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
