Here, we distinguish between a new build and a resale.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You are buying a new building in Murcia<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are buying new construction, you need to factor in 10% VAT and a stamp duty (<em>AJD<\/em>) of 1.50%. An example: you buy a EUR 220,000 property. The VAT is then EUR 22,000. The stamp duty is EUR 3,300. So on top of the purchase price, you will pay EUR 25,300 in transfer tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you also order additional works or extras, you will also pay 10% VAT and a stamp duty of 1.50% on these amounts. In that case, the transfer taxes consist of the sales tax (<em>ITP<\/em>). Today, the rate is 7.75% for a second residence. So if you buy a property in resale for EUR220,000, you will pay EUR17,050 in transfer taxes.
